Reroute your life's journey...
Luck plays a great role in the type of family you have, whether you have a loving spouse, have children etc etc and all the other things that we dream of happening in various stages of life. And to some extent , you kind of demand or expect that is how life is supposed to be. Perfect!!! But then one dream is shattered and the entire life path seems to be thrown out of order. And then how do you get back on track ? And probably have to create a new one !!! If not, are you just left standing at the crossroads.

Why did you stop talking to me ?
I look around and find no one to talk to.
And I look back at my life, and notice
that there was never really anyone.
I wondered how I managed all these years
and there long ago I used to talk to someone , God
Where has He gone now ?
Why does He not talk to me anymore ?
And I realize, He has been always there
waiting for me.
I had stopped talking to Him,
too distracted chasing the worldly illusions.

Just you and me
Walking with you, just you and me
The rest of the world have disappeared
And I feel so much peace
Just you and me.
Watching you gently sway in the breeze
so calm and serene
I feel comforting
Just you and me.
Enjoying your touch on my face,
so gentle and loving
Just you and me.
Looking up to see you watching me,
so reassuring and trusting
Just you and me.
Everything is beautiful with
just you around me.
Trees, breeze, sky
everything in Nature
I feel the peace and free inside
with you, Nature around me.

Pepper Lore
Black Pepper is a flowering vine native to south India. India is the largest producer of this oldest spice in the world. Pepper comes from the Sanskrit word pippali.
Black Pepper has great anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties.Black pepper since ancient times ,was used extensively in various remedies in the traditional treatment methods like Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani in India. It was used largely for curing the illnesses like constipation, diarrhea, heart disease, hernia, hoarseness, indigestion, insect bites, insomnia, joint pain, liver problems, lung disease, oral abscesses, sunburn, tooth decay, toothaches, etc. Apart from these, pepper was used to treat eye problems, as well, often by applying salves or poultices made with pepper directly to the eye.
Sucking a few pepper corns provides instant relief from dry cough and throat irritation. My Mom used to give pepper rice with ghee when we had a cold and we used to feel all better the next day.
Some cooking tips now -
In cooking especially for sauteed vegetables , I sometimes just add black pepper instead of the regular chili powder for a different flavor and for the medicinal values. And while cooking , add pepper towards the end to avoid the flavor of pepper being dulled. White and black pepper can be used interchangeably.
The picture was taken with a point and shoot Canon SD770S. This post is for the Weekend Herb Blogging hosted by Erbe in Cucina - Cooking with Herbs
